We find it in candlelit moments of serenity. We find it when our children are celebrated for hard-earned achievements. Sometimes we find it while running errands with the love of our life and knowing the errand was merely a ruse to spend time with them.
Happiness does not require material wealth it is simply a choice to consistently view our circumstances in a positive light. In Happiness there is always hope for a better tomorrow. Happiness is more rewarding when shared. Happiness has a unique contradiction in that nobody can give you Happiness yet it is contagious. Happiness is first cousins with Gratitude.
To me, Happiness is the comfort, peace, and home evoked by her gentle face. It is the appearance of a subtle smile on her lips and then her eyes when she catches me admiring her. It is the playfulness as she asks, “What’s the matter with you?”
